U Čapljini su protekla dva dana održane dvije ključne radionice u sklopu projekta KEEP‑GREEN, financiranog kroz inicijativu FUTURAL (Horizon Europe).
Over the past two days, two key workshops were held in Čapljina as part of the KEEP‑GREEN project, funded through the FUTURAL (Horizon Europe) initiative.
The first workshop brought together the staff of Hutovo Blato Nature Park, where sensors for early fire detection were installed at Karaotok and Škrka. This marked the beginning of the installation of a system that enables the park to monitor conditions in real time and respond promptly to the first signs of danger.

The second workshop was held with the Čapljina Fire Department, and the system was integrated into their operations so that firefighters can now monitor key parameters – temperature, CO₂, air pressure, and humidity – and make quick decisions based on sensor data. With the installation of equipment in Hutovo Blato Nature Park, both park staff and firefighters have gained a powerful tool for joint monitoring and protection of the area. These workshops demonstrated how important it is to connect nature conservation experts and firefighters, because only through joint action can we ensure the resilience of Hutovo Blato, preserve its natural values, and protect the local community.
